The legal basis for the collection of statistics is Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest). Our legitimate interest is to be able to evaluate and further develop the functionality and content of the website.

Personal data when chatting with us

Our chatbot answers general questions based on information from our website, provides links to our contact services, and allows users to submit a case to the Research Council directly through the chat. ServiceNow is the provider.

We store your conversations for up to 60 days to be able to recover the conversation and improve. (Cases submitted through the chat when the user is not logged in are anonymized 30 days after the cases have been closed.)

For privacy reasons, we ask you not to enter personal information, such as your name, email address, phone number and health information.

The chatbot provides you with answers to general questions based on information from forskningsradet.no. It does not answer questions that require lookups in personal data.

To ensure the best possible quality of the answers, the chatbot is continuously analysed and improved by AI trainers. This involves reviewing and adjusting responses to make them more relevant, precise, and useful to users. The AI trainers do not have access to personal data in anonymous chats, and all evaluation takes place in accordance with our privacy policy.

The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation, as you voluntarily use the chatbot for communication and possibly provide personal data about you
