Research funding for the public sector
Municipalities, county authorities, and other entities in the public sector can apply for funding from us to build knowledge and promote research-based innovation in the public sector.
Who can receive funding?
Public sector bodies that need research in connection with innovation activities to develop services, infrastructure and management practices can apply for Research Council funding. We support activities where the public sector collaborates with researchers.
Regional representatives
The Research Council's regional representatives live and work in the regions. They know the Research Council's opportunities and professionals well, and have knowledge of and dialogue with business actors, research environments, the public sector and policy instruments in the region.

Apply for international funding
Public agencies may apply for funding from the EU or other international organisations.
