Find out about the funding you and your organisation or company can apply for. Some of the funding we announce is in collaboration with other actors that provide public funding for research. Funding is also available through various international networks, such as Horizon Europe.

Research funding for the public sector
Municipalities, county authorities and other entities in the public sector can apply for funding from us to build knowledge and promote research-based innovation in the public sector.
Research funding for industry
You have the ideas – we have the means. Do you work in a company with plans to develop a new or improved product, service or production process? We have funding schemes to suit your needs.
Research funding for research organisations
Research organisations are a key target group for our funding schemes. We offer various calls for proposals that contribute to building outstanding research communities.

Funding from the Research Council
The Research Council allocates NOK 11 billion annually for research and innovation. We have some set application deadlines each year as well as a number of funding schemes with open-ended deadlines. You compete with other organisations for funding.
International funding
Are you looking to seek funding from the EU or other international funding agencies? There are countless opportunities in Europe and beyond, both for you as a researcher and for your institution or company.
Funding in cooperation with others
Together with SIVA, Innovation Norway, Enova and other actors we have common funding schemes. Examples are the Green Platform Initiative, Pilot-T, Pilot-E and Health Pilot. Keep an eye on current calls for proposals to see what what funding is available right now.

When you have received funding
When you have been awarded funding for a project you enter into a contract with the Research Council. The contract describes the conditions for the use of research funding and the rights and obligations of the parties in the implementation of the project.
