MarLEN - Maritime Low Emission Network

Norwegian participation in MarLEN is co-financed by the Research Council of Norway.

The purpose of the call is to promote international cooperation on research and innovation to strengthen the European Research Area in green maritime transport.

MarLEN (Maritime Low Emission Network) aims to reinforce the European Research Area in maritime transport by coordinating and creating synergies between national and regional research programs. The network will contribute to the development of zero-emission solutions for maritime transport in line with the objectives of the Zero Emission Waterborne Transport (ZEWT) partnership. The goal is to support a more competitive and sustainable maritime sector in Europe.

The first joint call supports transnational research and innovation projects within the overarching goals and framework of the ZEWT partnership:

  • Use of Sustainable Alternative Fuels
  • Electrification
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Design & Retrofitting
  • Digital Green
  • Ports
