Bioeconomy in the North
The primary goal of this call is to support excellent research and innovation through transnational collaborations leading to new products, technologies and strategies that contribute to net-zero emission goals, involving the use of wood-based biomass resources in the Northern hemisphere.
Bioeconomy in the North is a network of ministries and funding agencies from Canada, Finland, Germany, Norway and Sweden which coordinate their efforts to launch calls for R&D&I projects in the area of non-food / non-feed biomass resources exploitation.
Projects in the frame of the second call should significantly contribute to at least one of the two following topics:
- Forest Biorefineries – Process and materials innovation involving wood-based biomass in support of a circular bioeconomy
- Innovation in solid wood products in support of a circular bioeconomy
